Heart Shaped Valentine’s Door Hanger

• This large wire heart door hanger could be hung from its center hole as a freestanding decor. But to make it a door hanger, this is how we solve that. Weave your heavy 18 gauge wire through the back top section. Be sure to twist those ties so it is nice and sturdy as we add lots to it. Trim off excess with a wire cutter.
• Add some foam to build our arrangement. Grab a large brick and cut a section off. Determine where to add your foam piece that will fit inside the wire heart shape. You can decide the left or the right… and then just mirror if you choose the opposite of me. Pin it in with some pins to hold in place.
• Grab your Tea Leaf Bush and cut off a few pieces from the main bundle. Dipping ends in hot glue first, poke them into your foam base going up and out in all directions. Leave a space in the center for us to add our bow later. There will be gaps but that is okay.
• Grab your Boxwood Bush and cut from the main stem to give you pieces to work with. Dipping in hot glue, add here and there into your foam supporting the greenery we just added. Maintain those same angles as you work. 
• Next, let’s work with our White Berry and Twig bush. Pull it apart a bit. Insert throughout your foam accenting the other greenery pieces. 
• Grab your Red Sparkly Heart Pick and break it up. Insert ends into hot glue as you add into your foam in front of your greenery on both sides. Set extra pieces aside as we prepare for our bow.
• Grab all of your 4 ribbons: red with hearts burlap, plain red ribbon, ribbon with hearts and dots, and your handy dandy bow maker tool.
• With your 4” red and burlap ribbon, make a 20” tail for your bow. Your loops will start at 7”. Make 4 total loops (2 on each side) with this ribbon. Be sure to fluff as you go and trim your tails on an angle.
• Grab your solid red ribbon, and repeat on your bow maker, with tails a little shorter this time. Loops should be only 6.5” and only 2 total loops (1 on each side) for this layer on your bow.
• Repeat with your red heart and dot ribbon – a different texture and tone to make your bow pop. This should have 2 loops (1 on each side) and be a total of 6” long. Your tails will decrease in length with each layer.
• With your cable tie, attach around the center of all of your ribbons to make it nice and tight. Trim your extra cable tie. Create a loop to help you pin your bow to the foam.
• Fluff your ribbons and position your loops to face the right direction.
  To make your center, trim off a tiny section from your red ribbon. Use this section to tie over your center to complete your bow look. Make it tight.
• Using pins and the loop you created, add your bow. Use a bit of hot glue on the ends of the pins before you insert them in place on your door hanger.
• Make sure your tails are hanging down. Dovetail those ends. Don’t forget to curl them too. Let’s add more greenery, working with our Green Leather Fern Bush. Add some pieces poking out to support the angles already established. Be sure to add some accent pieces around the bow you just placed to give a little more texture and depth.
• Step back and see where you can add in more of your heart embellishments to help fill in any gaps. Use it also to hide any foam pieces that may be showing as well. Use that greenery too to fill in.
• Now, the hard part is deciding whether you’re going to keep this beauty or share it with someone you love. Hard decisions, but love is always full of those.
