As you dive into crafting your Tire Swing Bunny Wreath, remember to embrace your creativity and let your imagination run wild. This isn’t just about following a set of instructions it’s about infusing your wreath with your own unique style and personality. So, grab your materials and get ready to unleash your inner artist!

Directions

  • Start by prepping your Metal Tire. I put 2 pieces of floral foam on the bottom of the tire. Be aware of your lines, and how your tire will hang with the attached hanger. I just glue them on with hot glue.
  • Now prep your Girl Bunny. The body of our bunny is foam, which makes this so simple! Take a skewer and cut it down to about 4”, then put it into the bottom of your bunny. Then stick it into the foam on the tire. Easy as that!
  • Break down your Mixed Greenery Berry into a few pieces. It should be pretty easy to tear them into pieces. Cut all your stems down to about 2” each.
  • Place one of your greenery pieces into the floral foam, on the right of the bunny. Go opposite that one and place another going down to the left. Add a few more pieces around the bunny, including under her legs, creating a greenery base for your piece.
  • Now start putting your bundle of white tulips into your design. I like to work with tulips in clusters, so take a couple or 3 tulips and create a little bundle, then add them to your piece. I added clusters to the right and left of the bunny to create symmetry.
  • Your cute Tire Swing Bunny Wreath is complete!

TIPS AND TRICKS

  • I use a regular kitchen skillet to melt my glue sticks. This allows me to dip my stems into the glue and place them in my wreath easily. I definitely recommend this if you are making a lot of floral projects.
  • I added glue to each stem as I placed it in the floral foam, but you could absolutely do a “dry run” beforehand. Just be sure you don’t move them TOO much or it’ll make your floral foam fall apart.

Can I use real flowers instead of artificial tulips for the wreath?

While using real flowers for your Tire Swing Bunny Wreath might sound charming, it’s important to consider practicality and longevity. Real flowers have a limited lifespan and may wilt quickly, especially when exposed to outdoor elements like sunlight and moisture. Opting for artificial tulips ensures that your wreath remains vibrant and beautiful throughout the season without worrying about wilting or fading. Plus, artificial flowers allow for endless creativity and flexibility in crafting your wreath, as you can choose from a variety of colors and styles to suit your aesthetic. So, while the idea of real flowers is lovely, artificial tulips are the way to go for a durable and long-lasting wreath.

How do I keep my wreath from banging on my door?

Ah, keeping your wreath from doing the door dance can be a bit tricky, but don’t worry! First off, consider using a soft adhesive-backed hook or a wreath hanger that fits snugly over your door without scratching or damaging it. Next up, try adding a small piece of felt or foam to the back of your wreath where it meets the door – it’ll act as a buffer and minimize any banging. Another nifty trick is to secure the bottom of your wreath with a small piece of double-sided tape or hook-and-loop fastener to prevent it from swinging around in the wind. With these simple tips, your wreath will stay put and keep the peace with your door, no banging required!
