White Sunflower Grapevine Wreath with a Bow
There is so much movement and depth between the tall snowball stems and the mixed greenery sprays with cream flowers. This is a great piece to stock your stores for all year round. It’s subtle but beautiful and will be a showstopper on anyone’s front door.
There is something classic and simple, yet still stunning about a beautiful wreath with neutral florals and a pop of greenery. You don’t need bright and bold colors to pack a punch and these white Sunflower blooms will show you why.
The best part about the Sunflower mix bouquets that we use is their high quality. They are wired which allows you to manipulate their stems and flowers to point in any direction you’d like.

Using quality supplies like this adds so much depth and motion to your piece, making it look like the flowers are growing organically. It’s so important to be able to bend and manipulate the florals in a way that makes them feel real and like they are coming forward to you. It really adds so much depth to your designs and a quality that you want to associate with your work. Let’s get started!
Ingredients
Directions
- Start by adding a wire hanger on the back of your 14” grapevine wreath base. Tear and separate your mixed green spray into separate stems. Add some stems starting on the top with hot glue. Add another stem to the left.
- Hot glue two more on the left side. Cover any exposed hot glue with Spanish moss. Add two more mixed greenery stems on the right side of your base. Keep working in the same direction.
- Take your cream snowball Allium bush and “shake hands” with it to fluff and separate into smaller stems. Cut into smaller stems with your wire cutters.
- Dip the ends in hot glue and add in the top between the greenery. Add another snowball Allium stem on the left side between the greenery.
- Grab the cream Sunflower mix leaves bouquet and cut them into separate stems. Hot glue a big Sunflower bloom into the top of the wreath base and one on the top right.
- Mix a Sunflower and mixed stem from the bouquet and add them together on the lower right side. Fill in the top right with another large Sunflower bloom.
- Grab a second cream Sunflower mix leaves bouquet and separate them into smaller stems. Add some more large Sunflower stems on the top and left side of the wreath base. Cover any hot glue with Spanish moss.
- Fill in any gaps or holes with some more Sunflowers or greenery where you need them. You can also add some more cream snowball Alliums towards the center of your design as well. Keep working in the same direction.
- Grab your pre-made bow using a 4” window-pane burlap with two loops and two smaller loops with a 1.5” expandable natural jute ribbon. Attach the bow on the bottom right of your base where there is an open space. Fluff and adjust your bow and enjoy your wreath!
It’s so important when you are playing with flowers and designing, whether it be for yourself or customers, to do what you can to add movement and depth to your design. Remember to “shake hands” with each stem and floral bush you use to make the most of each element. Fluffing and turning stems and flowers so they are forward and facing the right direction will add to the quality and overall impact of each piece. It’s so worth the extra time and effort!
