Snowy Winter Wreath Kit

I love a good kit because it does all the hard work for you! It makes everything so simple and quick that anyone can create something beautiful in no time at all. I’m going to show you my version of how to put together this kit into a wreath design but you are free to indulge your own creativity and go to town.

I love to see different ways that others use the same supplies and create their own pieces. Each element in this kit is so elegant starting with the gorgeous eucalyptus stems with cedar. They are classic for Wintertime! We build a nice foundation of greenery before we get to the fun stuff!

The snowy twigs sparkle in the light and are full of texture and add the perfect touch of winter whimsy. Taking the time to curl and shape the twigs will add even more depth and dimension to your design. The brown stems from the twigs pick up the pinecones in there as well and tie them all together.

This wreath is so nice and full because of the beautiful greenery that is almost jumping off the base, looking so realistic and classic! It’s a show-stopper for sure and going to bring some sparkle to your Winter season!

Directions

  • Grab your eucalyptus and cedar bush and cut each bush into four separate stems using your wire cutters. Cut off the excess stem length. “Shake hands” with each piece by shaping and spreading each stem and element on the bush.
  • Group each of the smaller stems together in like stems to help with spacing once we get started. Take the wreath base from your kit and start to lay out the design. Take your two largest stem groupings with pinecones and start to build the foundation.
  • Dip the ends in hot glue and add into the grapevine base. Rotate and add another stem. Continue until you’ve added three of the larger stems evenly spaced.
  • Grab the snowy eucalyptus stems and dip the ends in hot glue. Add each stem in between the pine cone stems along the entire wreath base.
  • Take the thirst stem group from the eucalyptus and cedar bushes and add one stem just before the pine cone stems on your base. Secure the stems with hot glue and continue adding along the entire wreath base.
  • Fill in any holes that exist with the left-over stems you have saved. Grab the snowy twigs and tear the tape that is holding them all together. Use your fingers to curl the twig stems.
  • Dip the twig ends in hot glue and add into your wreath base following the same direction as the rest of your design. Rotate and continue to add snowy twigs until you have three on the inner circle of your base.
  • Follow the same method to add more snowy twigs along the outer edge of your grapevine base. Leave the outer twigs slightly longer to add more depth. Fill in any bare spots with the remaining greenery stems and twigs you have left over.

A great way to get into wreath making or creating your own designs is to use or purchase kits like we’ve put together today. A kit will have everything you need from greenery and other florals or craft picks that you know will complement each other well.

It takes away the guessing and will give you a good idea of what elements and supplies will go well together, especially if you are a beginner. This gives you a great opportunity to focus on placement and putting the elements together to start creating beautiful things!
