Purple Hydrangea Swag
We all have such busy lives which is why I love using craft kits to simplify things! They come with almost everything you need to make your project beautiful. Just provide a few staple things that you already have in your own craft supply and you are all set to make this purple Hydrangea swag. The angel vine backing provides a sturdy base which makes it easy to glue other florals and berries in. If you love ribbons, leave enough room between your swag base and topper to add a vibrant bow. Whatever your preference, it’s sure to be a show-stopper.
This kit also comes with an extra spray of purple berries which go so well with the rest of the design. You’ll want to add your berries down your swag so that they draw your eye across the length of your piece. Add more dimension and depth by bending and shaping each berry stem so they look organic within the rest of the greenery. Nature wants to grow outside of the boundaries, so I like to mimic that in my designs. This would also make a perfect Mother’s Day gift for a special Mom in your life. Let’s get started!

Directions
- Separate and “shake hands” with each of the flowers and berries on your swag base and swag topper. Pull some of the leaves up and make sure the Hydrangeas are facing upward.
- Take the long stem of the topper and add it into the base so the flowers are touching. Cable tie the two pieces together and use a bit of hot glue to prevent slipping. Add a leaf on top to cover the cable tie.
- Pull or trim the berry stem into three separate pieces. Add the longest stem in the base with hot glue coming up through the top. Add a second berry and hot glue into the center so it comes out on the opposite side of the first.
- Dip the last stem in hot glue and add towards the bottom going downwards.
Even with a project as quick and easy as this purple Hydrangea swag, you can use it for so many different things! As I mentioned before, it would be super easy to leave some space between the topper and the swag base for a beautiful bow on a door hanger swag.
You can also shift the direction and adjust some of the florals and greenery so this swag will look great as a table centerpiece. Keep in mind as you are designing, what you’d like to use your project for, and let that guide your design.
