Ingredients
Directions
- Start with your grapevine wreath and attach your bow right in the middle of where you want your focal point to be. I put mine at the bottom of the wreath, off to the side a bit. Attach your bow with a cable tie, and fluff all the loops until you like the way it looks.
- Break down your 19″ Mixed Greenery Picks into two pieces, one a little taller than the other. Do this with all 4 picks.
- Begin adding these picks to your wreath, starting with the longer pieces to “set the perimeter”. I started with one up high on the wreath, then one between that one that bow. Do the same for the bottom, mirroring what you did on the top.
- Add two shorter stems directly behind the bow, one pointing up and one pointing down.
- Cut apart your Fuchsia Sprinkle Curly Sprays so that each curl is on its own. Turn them around to make a heart, then reattach them together with a cable tie and floral tape. These cute hearts will be perfect on your wreath. Do this with both sprays to make 3 hearts.
- Add your first heart to your wreath just above the bow, with the stem behind the bow, your second to the right of the first heart, and your third below the bow, upside down.
- Trim down your Mini Fishtail Fern Bush so that each stem has about a 1” stem. You can now use this same piece of greenery in many places around your project, which is great. Add 4 stems around your bow, two on top and two below.
- Push your greenery up on your stem to create a tight little cluster. Attach this to your bow, sticking out a bit on top of your bow for great dimension.
- Add a couple more fishtail fern stems between the two hearts on the top of your wreath.
- Grab the last pieces of your Mixed Greenery stems and place a couple in your bow, facing to the right and left.
- Fluff your bow, separate any clumps that you see, and your wreath is beautiful and complete!
TIPS AND TRICKS
- Change out the colors or elements to make the wreath your own. Add a bow or other focal point. Use different greenery and florals. You could even use Christmas or Halloween elements to make it a totally different look! The best part of this wreath is that it’s so easily customizable!
- I love my glue skillet. I just melt hot glue sticks in a regular kitchen skillet, which allows me to just easily dip my stems into the glue rather than trying to get my glue where I need it with a glue gun.
- I added glue to some of my stems as I placed them into my wreath, but you can absolutely do a dry run. Just stick your stems into your wreath, and you’re able to move them around until you’re happy with their placement.
How do I take care of a grapevine wreath?
Taking care of a grapevine wreath is a simple and fuss-free task. To maintain its natural charm, keep it indoors or in a sheltered area to protect it from prolonged exposure to the elements. If placed outside, consider bringing it indoors during severe weather conditions to ensure longevity. Periodically dust off any accumulated dirt or debris using a gentle shake. If you notice the grapevine becoming dry or brittle, you can lightly mist it with water to restore moisture. With these easy steps, your grapevine wreath will stay looking fresh and continue to add a touch of rustic beauty to your space.
What can I do to personalize this wreath?
Personalizing your Pink Sweet Valentine Wreath is the fun part! Consider adding initials or a monogram to the wreath using small wooden or metal letters. You can paint them in a color that complements the pink and green theme.
Another idea is to incorporate miniature photos of you and your loved ones, securing them among the curly hearts for a sentimental touch. Play around with additional embellishments like small trinkets, charms, or even tiny love notes tucked into the greenery. Don’t hesitate to mix elements that resonate with you and your unique style, making the wreath a reflection of your personality and the love you’re celebrating. These personalized details will make your Pink Sweet Valentine Wreath stand out and feel extra special.
