grapevine wreath with red glitter truck, hearts, and greenery

Let’s get started and have some fun with florals.

Ingredients

  • 18” Grapevine

  • Valentine’s Themed Ribbon

  • Be Mine Red Truck Sign

  • Pink and Red Heart Pick

  • Curly Heart Pick

  • Large Red Glittery Heart Spray

  • Mini Leaf Bush

  • Pink Flowery Stem

  • Moss Twig

Directions

  • Hang your grapevine so it is easy to work with as you craft.
  • Determine the placement of your Be Mine Red Truck sign before you commit.
  • Use 2 floral u-pins to place on 2 different outer spots on the back of your sign. You will have to trim them down a little bit with wire cutters.
  • With some hot glue, you will mount on cable ties as well. You will use this technique to add this sign to your grapevine, pinning in 2 spots to make it nice and secure.
  • Work the cable ties through the guts of your grapevine. Play with placement before you tighten the cable ties all the way. Once happy, pull tight and trim excess.
  • Grab your bush full of all different elements, these could be goodies from your Subscription Greenery Box. Shake hands with the greenery so it is nice and full. Divide it up into 3 sections.
  • Trim the stem, dipping in hot glue first before inserting your greenery. Tuck a piece back behind your little red truck sign.
  • Use the front of your truck as your transition point to place your greenery going up and around on top. And then flowing down and around on the bottom of your grapevine.
  • Grab your Mini Fern Bush and add some, supporting the already placed greenery. This should create length and flow for your wreath.
  • With your Pink and Red Heart Pick, cut into separate sections to add. Dip ends in hot glue, and add amongst the greenery. Maintain the angles you have created.
  • Grab your Curly Heart Pick and spread them out a bit. Cut sections to work with and manipulate. Add to your grapevine coordinating with the heart pick you just added.
  • Grab your premade funky bow made from Valentine’s Themed Ribbons. Attach with your cable tie to the transition point on your wreath. The front bumper area where the greenery branches out and up and then out and down.
  • Fluff your bow loops and curl some of those tails too. Careful not to hide your truck too much.
  • Grab your Large Red Glittery Heart Spray. Insert into your grapevine, using hot glue first. Place one so it pokes from the top of your bow, another up above that, and then the last one under your bow.
  • Next shake hands with your Pink Flowery Stem so you can easily divide it into 4 sections. Cut, manipulate, and curl those branches before you add into your grapevine, filling in where needed, adding a soft touch.
  • Grab your Mossy Twig and add pieces all around. Dip in hot glue and work your way around adding dimension and a new shade of green.

How do you add any sign you find to your wreath?

We have all found a cute sign that we just love, and then flipped it over to feel instant sadness. Bummed because it doesn’t have anything to help you easily add it to your craft. And maybe, you have put that cute sign back down and looked for something else. But guess what. You do not need to do that ever again. Using floral u-pins, hot glue, cable ties, mounting squares, and sometimes even a staple gun (Depending on the thickness of your sign) you are able to make any sign mountable for your creations. This red and pink wreath with a vintage wood truck sign should be big and full. I like to break the plain of my creations so they are eye-catching! Motion from the whimsical greens flowing around, bright colors, and of course the cute Be Mine Red Truck make me just fall in love with the wreath. Do you LOVE it too?
