How to Make an Easy Easter Carrot Wreath

Nothing screams Easter more than beautiful orange carrots and cute Bunnies. This easy Easter carrot wreath has all of that and more. Our big carrot wreath base is created with a metal frame that makes it sturdy enough to support the design.

Can we talk about this metal frame. I just love it because it allows you to rotate the carrot stem and pull the petals up. As you do this it adds more dimension to your wreath. Each ribbon spool and greenery or floral bush all are wired so that you can shape the elements. As you shape them it helps you add that dimension and height you want!

Directions

  • Hot glue a square piece of craft foam on the top just below the center leaf. Reinforce from the back with some u-pins. Because of the hanger in the center, we are going to have the design line working from the left to the right.
  • Tear the yellow Gypso bush into several pieces and trim the extra stem off. Start adding stems by dipping in hot glue and inserting into the foam. Start at the top and mirror what you add into the bottom.
  • Separate each carrot from your orange carrot stem and add two carrots on the top. Take your plastic button grass bush and spread each individual piece out for some more dimension. Add the grass into the top and bottom, trying to mirror each one.
  • Start with a 20” tail with the carrot ribbon, adding two 6” loops on each side. Twist in the center and fluff as you go. Trim the tails at opposite angles. Add the next ivory and orange striped ribbon with 18” tails and one 5 ½” loop on each side. Run the cable tie just off the center as you pull the bow off. Add a u-pin through the cable tie then cinch it tight. Cut a 12” piece of the striped ribbon and fold over itself. Tie around the center to cover the cable ties.
  • Add your bow into the center of your foam and run the rails behind the greenery to incorporate them. Curl the ends of the stripes around your fingers. Hot glue the last carrot stem into the bottom coming out from the bow. Grab your blue bunny head and pull the blue bow off. Trim the pick and pop her into the center of the foam at the top of the bow.
  • Take some more yellow Gypso stems and mixed grass and add throughout the foam to fill out around the bow and bunny.
