The beauty of the White and Black RickRack Bow lies in its versatility. From Easter wreaths to gift wrapping and beyond, this bow can do it all! Use it to adorn your front door wreath for a playful Easter welcome, or attach it to a gift box to add a stylish finishing touch. You can even incorporate it into table centerpieces, floral arrangements, or DIY crafts for a fun and festive vibe. The possibilities are endless with this adorable bow!

Directions

  • For this bow, I decided on long tails. I went with about 20” tails. Cut the end of your ribbon on a diagonal.
  • Pleat your ribbon up, and place it between the rods on your bow maker. Add a twist to your ribbon, so the back of your ribbon is facing up.
  • Create your first loop by looping your ribbon, then placing it back into your center rods. I went with about 6” loops. Scrunch it down and twist.
  • Create another loop by following the same steps as your first loop. Follow the same steps for 2 more loops, for a total of 4 loops, 2 on each side.
  • Measure and cut your second tail to match your first.
  • Cut another tail on the diagonal, then measure about 10”. Pleat your ribbon up, and place it between the rods on your bow maker. Add a twist to your ribbon, so the back of your ribbon is facing up.
  • Create your first loop by looping your ribbon, then placing it back into your center rods. I went with a little shorter loop, about 5”. Scrunch it down and twist.
  • Create another loop by following the same steps as your first loop.
  • Measure and cut your second tail to match your first.
  • Thread your cable tie behind your ribbon, then carefully remove the ribbon from the bow maker. Tighten your cable tie, rotate it to the back of the bow, then tighten all the way.
  • Cut a small piece of ribbon, about 8” long, to tie around the center of your bow. I love a narrower ribbon for this.
  • Fluff and arrange your loops and tails, and your bow is ready to go on your wreath!

TIPS AND TRICKS

  • Change your ribbons to make bows that match whatever type of decor you are creating. Make a smaller version for a wreath or swag. Add multiple smaller bows to your project. Let the versatility of this fun bow shine!
  • If you’d rather use wire, 18 gauge wire works great for this project.
  • I used a wide ribbon for this bow, a 2.5”wire-edged ribbon, and I think that works best. But you are free to use this same bow with any type of ribbon you’d like to match your wreath. Your bow will be more floppy if you use a ribbon that is not wire-edged.

Can I use the bow for other spring projects besides Easter wreaths?

Absolutely! The White and Black RickRack Bow is incredibly versatile and can be used for a variety of spring projects beyond Easter wreaths. Its playful yet stylish design makes it a perfect accent for any spring-themed project. It adds the perfect touch of whimsy and flair wherever it’s placed. Let your imagination run wild and have fun experimenting with different ways to incorporate this bow.

Can I customize the size of the White and Black RickRack Bow for my project?

Absolutely! The size of this bow can be easily customized to suit your project needs. Whether you prefer a small and dainty bow for a gift box or a larger statement bow for a wreath or centerpiece. You can adjust the length and width of the RickRack ribbon accordingly. Simply trim the ribbon to your desired size using sharp scissors and follow the same steps for creating the bow loops. This versatility allows you to tailor the bow to fit any project, ensuring it complements your decor perfectly. So go ahead and get creative with your sizing. There are no limits to what you can achieve with this fun and customizable bow!
