Make Your Own Easter Carrot Door Hanger

With the arrival of spring comes warmer weather and a chance for us to get creative with our home decor! This year, show your love for the season by making a gorgeous decorative door hanger. This spring door hanger will brighten up any doorway. With just a few materials and some imagination, you can make an eye-catching piece. I can promise you that is sure to spread joy throughout the house.

In this design, I used an orange twig carrot flat back that is 24″ in length. I love working with designs that have a wreath form. This makes it so simple to create a beautiful design.

By adding some floral stems, greenery, and these super cute mushrooms you can easily make your own cute spring door hanger for your front door. Follow along and learn how to make a door hanger perfect for any front door.

Directions

  • Insert a floral foam block into the top of your carrot. Then dip your floral pins into your glue skillet and put them in from the back.
  • Cut two pieces of greenery off to use later. Insert your greenery stem right into the middle of your foam. Insert glue on the end. Add two additional greenery stems on each side of what you just inserted.
  • Trim down your floral stem and push it down into your floral foam block.
  • Separate your floral spray into three other pieces. Leave one long and start coming down the base of your design. Pick a direction and push into your foam from the bottom.
  • Insert your premade bow right on top of your bow. Then add more red and orange florals around your bow.
  • Add in your mushroom stems some on the top and a few coming from the bottom. Next, insert your carrot stems. Just add in the empty spaces.
  • The final step is to add your greenery filler pieces. Cut them down a bit and soften the lines. Bring them towards the front. Don’t forget to bring the greenery pieces you saved from the start and add them to the front of your design.

How To Place Floral Stems In A Wreath Design

Creating a wreath design with floral stems can be a fun and rewarding DIY project. It’s important to pick the right tools and materials when designing. This helps your wreath design turns out just as you had imagined it. I simply like to measure how tall I want my stem. Then I cut it, dip the end in hot glue and push it into the wreath design.

  • Cut and prep the White Black Chenille Curly Stems add some dimension to them by curling with your fingers to really give them life.
  • Stem back and look at your your centerpiece. Are thier bald or blank spaces? Fluff you black garland to fill and use the wires in your products from Keleas.com to really get the pieces where you want them.
  • Grab one of your Glitter Curly Velvet Ball Picks and trim the stem down to a couple of inches. Fluff out your pick, and then place it to the left of your bow, tucking it behind the bow to have it peek out from behind it.
