Wooden Pumpkin Door Hanger

2.5″ Black Plaid with Pumpkins and Sunflowers Ribbon on a 50 Yard Roll

Directions
- Start with a wooden pumpkin either from Hobby Lobby, another crafter, or you are welcome to make your own!
- Let’s make a 2-1 bow with our EZ Bowmaker. Start with tails that are the length of your pumpkin and twist in the center. Make 6” loops with two on each side, then trim your tails at an angle. Make a slightly shorter tail and two 5” loops on top of what you already have. Trim the tails.
- Remove the bow from your EZ Bowmaker and use a pipe cleaner to secure the center of the bow. Fluff each loop so they are nice and full.
- Use a sharp knife to cut about a 4”x2” piece of craft foam. Dip the backside of your foam in hot glue and place it just under the stem on the top.
- Take your fall greenery bush and push the leaves up to make the stem shorter. Cut the stems off with your wire cutters. Separate them into individual pieces. Dip the end of the greenery stems into hot glue and start placing them into the craft foam. Add a few pieces on the left and bottom and a couple on the top creating some direction.
- Next, grab your sunflower and berry spray and cut it into a few pieces, keeping some longer. Use hot-glue to secure the sunflower and berry spray into the left side of the foam pointing downward.
- Add your bow by putting hot glue onto the back of the pipe cleaner and placing a little bit catty-corner onto the foam. Adjust some of the tails to be behind the greenery.
- Trim the large stem off from the remaining sunflower and berry spray so you have individual pieces to use. Add some more fall greenery coming up from the top of the bow.
- Break down your poppy picks using your wire cutters into smaller picks. Add some poppy greenery into the foam coming down on the left side of your pumpkin. Add some more poppy picks on the right side and top, using hot glue to secure into the craft foam.
- Add a large sunflower into the center of your bow. Trim some maple leaves from your picks and add just behind the sunflower coming up on the top right. Add another maple leaf from the middle coming down from the center sunflower.
- Add some more greenery and berries towards the top in the front above the center sunflower. Add a couple more coming out from the bow on the left and right sides. You are adding so much dimension with all the different greenery and berries!
- Let’s incorporate some more of the poppy spray by adding a piece behind and to the right of your center sunflower. Hot glue some grass on the bottom to balance the grass on the other side.
- Check for holes from the side and add any more greenery you’d like to fill in any necessary spots. Make any adjustments to ribbons, flowers, or greenery that you need and enjoy your beautiful wood pumpkin piece!
