Christmas Country Wreath

December 2, 2021 | Christmas, DIY Seasonal Decor, Winter, Wreath Tutorials

Using a premade bow you can make a quick and simple Christmas country wreath that will look amazing on any wall or front door.

In this tutorial, we are going to make a simple but beautiful Country Christmas Wreath! I love using beautiful florals and organic materials to make gorgeous pieces that anyone can put together, and this project takes only 30 minutes. Ready to try it yourself then gather up the supplies below and print the step-by-step tutorial and let’s work together on this simple Christmas wreath.

Christmas Country Wreath

My inspiration for today’s wreath comes from a cute Country print ribbon from a bow I’ve made previously. I am taking that bow and adding flocked greenery and various Christmas red berries that add so much texture and dimension. This wreath is snowy, soft, and cozy country but has so much depth that it makes a big impact on anyone’s front door. Sometimes the best pieces follow the old saying, “less is more”. Simple is good and can pack a big punch. Just watch and see.

I love sharing with you different ways to incorporate bows into your wreaths. You do not need a lot of frills and picks and sprays to make a wreath that people look at and say WOW!

Directions

  • Start with your 14” grapevine wreath base. Grab your flocked greenery and use wire cutters to separate it into single pieces.
  • Take a single piece of greenery and dip the end into your glue pot. Add into the middle inside of your base. Rotate your wreath base and work your way around adding greenery a few inches apart.
  • Grab your second greenery bush and use wire cutters to separate it into single pieces. Dip the ends into the hot glue and add each piece in between the previous, working more along the outer ring of the wreath.
  • Add your bow from “Bow Wednesday” to the lower left quadrant of your wreath base using the cable tie on the back. Clip the excess from the back.
  • Use your wire cutters to separate the red berry bunch into smaller stems with different textures. Curl the twigs around your fingers to add some movement with your berries.
  • Follow the transition and flow of the wreath and start by adding a stem of berries above the bow. Continue adding red berries a few inches apart around the wreath base using hot glue. This adds so much depth and dimension to your piece.
  • Keep adding berry stems along the inner ring of your wreath base in between the berries you’ve already added.
  • Take another element from your berry bunch and cut small sections of the berry clusters. Dip the ends in hot glue and pop them in your wreath following the midline of your wreath design.
  • Continue adding the berry clusters around your wreath base leaving a few inches in between.
  • Separate the remainder of the berry bunch and pinecones with your wire cutters. Cut individual stems into smaller pieces and add one into the center of the bow.
  • Add another smaller berry cluster on the opposite side of the wreath base in the center. Hot glue smaller berry clusters above the bow and where there are any holes that need to be filled.
  • Curl the ends of the remaining berry stems and fill in any spots that may need some more texture. Keep with the transition and flow that you have already created with your greenery and stems.
  • Add your pinecones in to check placement opposite of your bow. Insert one on the top, one on the side, and one towards the bottom. Dip the ends of the pinecones into the hot glue and secure them into your base. Make any final adjustments to your beautiful simple country wreath! Enjoy!

Crafting your centerpiece is straightforward and enjoyable. You’ll need some basic tools like styrofoam, wire cutters, scissors, and hot glue. Begin by setting styrofoam inside the bucket, strategically place the twig sprays and, and use the eyeball picks for a finishing touch of flair.

Mixing your spooky decorations with old and new gives you fun times spent crafting together now while reminiscing about the Halloweve of yester years. It’s a wonderful way to start a family tradition or simply enjoy some seasonal crafting magic.

Directions

  • Start by finding cutting the styrofoam so it is nestled inside of the Green Frankenstein Bucket so that it sits nicely inside and glue down. I like to use both Gorilla Glue and Hot Glue to really secure it for both now and long term.
  • Cut Black Garland Base into small sections and set your base, spreading for maximum coverage.
  • Prep your picks by grabbing your Purple Green Orange Felt Ball Twig Sprays. Sseparating them into smaller picks. You can also twist the black chenille around your finger to create a fun effect.
  • Trim your Glitter Eye Ball Picks and add to the stryofoam. Be sure to space them for the best visual display.
  • Cut and prep the White Black Chenille Curly Stems add some dimension to them by curling with your fingers to really give them life.
  • Stem back and look at your your centerpiece. Are thier bald or blank spaces? Fluff you black garland to fill and use the wires in your products from Keleas.com to really get the pieces where you want them.
  • Grab one of your Glitter Curly Velvet Ball Picks and trim the stem down to a couple of inches. Fluff out your pick, and then place it to the left of your bow, tucking it behind the bow to have it peek out from behind it.
