BoHo Fall Wreath

October 21, 2021 | DIY Seasonal Decor, Fall, Wreath Tutorials

If you are looking for a unique wreath to make for your front door then try making this BoHo Fall Wreath. Fall wreaths do not always have to be your typical red and orange colors. Try doing something a little different. I am loving the creams and muted greens in this wreath and how they say hello fall but in a whole new way!

BoHo Fall Wreath Tutorial

Let’s create something beautiful together! I love working with twigs and wanted to incorporate them into an inspired Boho Fall wreath. We have a gorgeous Eucalyptus bush with big cream-colored flowers that are going to make a big impact on anyone’s door. I love working with eucalyptus and making lots of fun unique wreaths with them. Have you seen the blue eucalyptus wreath? It may just be my favorite wreath right now!

The twigs with fall leaves and berries will add so much whimsy and dimension to this Boho style wreath. We are then going to add some mustard-colored Dandelions that are going to tie the color palette together and add a festive Fall touch.

What’s better than making a beautiful Fall wreath? Making one that you can use all year round! The different stems and Eucalyptus flowers fit right into a neutral color palette that can be used all year. There’s so much texture provided with the variety of twigs, berries, and greenery. Sprinkle in just enough mustard Dandelions to add the right finishing touch.

You’re going to love this piece for Fall or to use throughout the year. Grab your supplies, follow this step by step tutorial and see what all you can learn about making designs. Let’s get started!

Ingredients

  • Grapevine Wreath Base

  • Cream Eucalyptus Bush

  • Fall Leaf and Berry Twig Stem

  • Mustard Dandelion Bush

  • Glue Pot

  • Pipe Cleaners

  • Wire Cutter

Directions

  • Grab your cream eucalyptus bushes and trim off the flowers towards the top of their stems, leaving a few leaves.
  • Add a hanger on the back of the grapevine wreath using a sturdy pipe cleaner and insert it towards the top, twisting on both ends to secure it in there.
  • Start with the large eucalyptus flower heads and we’ll put those in first. Cluster two flowers together, one lighter and one darker, and hot glue them into the top of your wreath base
  • Cluster another pair of eucalyptus together with some greenery and add on the left side of your wreath base using hot glue. Add another pair of flowers on the bottom and one between the bottom and left-hand side.
  • Just above the last pair of eucalyptus, add a pair of darker flowers using hot glue. Add a single darker flower above the eucalyptus cluster on the left side of your wreath base.
  • Spread out the pedals on a few eucalyptus greenery sprigs and hot glue near the flowers on the top of your base.
  • Add a few more sprigs of greenery between the bottom two flower clusters. Grab another single darker flower and insert to the right of the top flower cluster on your base.
  • Take your fall leaf and berry twig and clip off most of the stems from the bottom to create shorter pieces. Separate into individual twigs and add a few twig sprigs to the left of your top flower clusters and another one to the right. Use hot glue to secure the twigs into the base.
  • Continue by adding another fall twig coming out from underneath the top flower cluster. Add a few more twigs on the left side of your wreath base.
  • Take a second fall leaf and berry twig and repeat the same process to shorten the twigs and separate into individual stems. Dip the ends of a twig and add into the bottom of your wreath. Grab another twig and add into the bottom left of your wreath base shooting downward and another one shooting towards the inside of the wreath.
  • Keep the flow going based on your transition point as you keep adding in more twigs. Add a few more into the left side of your wreath.
  • Grab your dandelion bush and separate into a few pieces. Add one using hot glue just to the right of your top flower clusters. Insert a second mustard dandelion stem just above the flowers on the left side, making sure to follow the same flow as the other components. Add some more dandelions shooting towards the center of your wreath on the left side.
  • Take another bush of mustard-colored dandelions and use your wire cutters to separate and fluff each branch. Dip a branch in hot glue and insert to the right of your bottom flower clusters. Add some more dandelions just to the left of the bottom flowers. Let’s place one more dandelion stem on the left side pointing downward, using hot glue from your glue pot.
  • Grab your left-over greenery from the eucalyptus bushes we used earlier and let’s add it into our wreath. Tuck some greenery anywhere that you feel like you have a hole that may need filling throughout your piece. Work around the different flower clusters to make them look more full.
  • Go ahead and get one more fall leaf and berry twig ready to add by clipping long stems and separating into smaller stems. Dip the ends in hot glue and start by adding on the bottom right of your wreath. Add another stem on the left side and just above the left flower cluster.
  • Add another berry twig on that left side pointing a bit downward. Go ahead and adjust the length if necessary, of your twigs. Continue adding berry twigs throughout your wreath base where you think it needs some extra depth. Once you’ve added all your twigs, make any adjustments you need to and enjoy your beautiful boho fall wreath!
