Blue Eucalyptus Wreath
Making wreaths as you know really is SOO much fun to me. I just have an eye for what florals, greenery, and ribbon should go together. If you are like me you might find at times you just want to think outside the box. That is what I did while making this wreath! I was searching for something to make a fall wreath a little bit more unique. Something that would be different than the traditional fall-colored ones that have lots of red, orange, and yellow. You are in for a treat with this blue eucalyptus wreath.
I’m so excited to share with you this beautiful design that is totally unique and can be used even for this Fall! Everything is blue, from the flowers to the “greenery” which is a twist on a traditional Fall color palette. So many times we only focus on the oranges, browns, and yellows that we see during the Fall months. It’s ok to mix up the colors, even for Fall! This is not the traditional sunflower wreath you are used to seeing.
The different shades of blue Hydrangeas and Sunflowers are the perfect accent to the subtle blue Eucalyptus as the base of this one-of-a-kind Fall wreath. These flowers are big and bold so there’s no need to add a bow. Let me walk you through how to create this beauty for your own door or a gift this Holiday season.
Ingredients
Grapevine Wreath
Spanish Moss
Wire Cutters
Hot Glue Pot of Hot Glue Gun
Directions
- Fluff your eucalyptus bush and use your wire cutters to separate into smaller branches. Dip the ends in hot glue and start inserting into the wreath base. Continue adding around the whole wreath base working the stems in the same direction. Cover any hot glue with Spanish moss.
- Grab your blue sunflower and rose bush and push the leaves up toward the flower. Cut the stems from the flowers to separate into individual stems.
- Separate your sunflowers and add a rose to the group so we can create a cluster. Start by adding a sunflower and rose with hot glue on the top right. Work in the same direction as the eucalyptus bush.
- Pair another sunflower and rose and add with hot glue, evenly spaced throughout the grapevine base. Repeat this process until you have 4 pairs of sunflowers and roses.
- Add a blue hydrangea flower in between the sunflower and rose clusters. Cover any hot glue with Spanish moss. Add a few blue berry and grass bunches in between your flower clusters.
- Trim the large stem from the blue berry bushes and fluff and stems. Separate into smaller stems with your wire cutters.
- Start at the top of your wreath and hot glue a stem of blue berries. Continue adding blue berry stems throughout the wreath base following the same direction as the eucalyptus bush stems.
- Fill in any holes or make any last-minute adjustments to your beautiful blue wreath!
