Cute Wreath Bows with Bee Ribbon

Bumblebee wreaths are extremely popular, there are so many different designs from antique”y” to whimsical. So how do you cute bee ribbon with complementary ribbon patterns and colors?

Here are 4 tutorials that show you wreath bows that incorporate polka dots, flower, and even stripe patterns. They are so much fun and will make your handmade bee wreath pop.

Cute Wreath Bow Designs Using Bee Ribbon

All of the tutorials use the same tools, which makes this very easy to knock out multiple bows in one go. There are really only 2 tools that you need:

  • EZ Bow Maker
  • Scissors

Floral, Polka Dots, and Bee Ribbon

Supplies:

  • 1 – 2.5″ Daisy floral patterned ribbon
  • 1 – 2.5″ Polka dot patterned ribbon
  • 1 – 1.5″ Solid yellow ribbon
  • 1 – 1.5″ Burlap bee ribbon
  • 8″ cable tie
  • 11″ cable tie

Instructions:

Using your EZ Bow Maker

  1. Start with the floral patterned 2.5″ wired ribbon, measure out a 16″ tail, inserting your ribbon into the EZ Bow Maker pegs.
  2. Measure out 6″ loops and twist the ribbon to keep the pretty facing outward. Make 2 loops on each side.
  3. Scrunch the ribbon down into the pegs to hold your bow in place.
  4. Cut that first spool off, leaving a 16″ tail on the opposite side.
  5. Using the solid yellow 1.5″ ribbon, measure out about a 14″ tail.
  6. Measure out 6″ loops and twist the ribbon to keep the pretty facing outward. Make 1 loop on each side, keeping those loops at the center so it sits in between the loops from the first layer.
  7. Using the polka dot patterned 2.5″ wired ribbon, measure out a 12″ tail, inserting your ribbon into the EZ Bow Maker pegs.
  8. Measure out 5″ loops and twist the ribbon to keep the pretty facing outward. Make 1 loop on each side, following the same layer as step #2.
  9. Next, use the 1.5″ solid yellow ribbon. Measure out a 10″ tail, creating (2) 5″ loops on each side.
  10. Finally, add your 1.5″ burlap bee ribbon. 8″ tails and (1) 4.5″ loops on each side.
  11. Zip tie it together with the 8″ cable tie, but do not tighten it all the way. Fluff out your bow before you tighten it all the way. 
  12. You do not want to forget to give the tails of your bow some attention. Roll the bottom of the ribbon tails toward the center of the bow.
  13. Now thread the 11″ cable tie through the back so you can use that to attach it later to a wreath.
  14. Grab a small strip floral ribbon and fold it up to hide your zip tie in the middle of the bow.

Stripes, Polka Dots, and Bee Ribbon

Supplies:

  • 1 – 2.5″ Bee patterned ribbon
  • 1 – 2.5″ Polka dot patterned ribbon
  • 1 – 2.5″ Solid yellow ribbon
  • 1 – 1.5″ Black and white striped ribbon
  • 8″ cable tie
  • 11″ cable tie

Instructions:

  1. Start with the polka dot patterned 2.5″ wired ribbon, measure out a 16″ tail, inserting your ribbon into the EZ Bow Maker pegs.
  2. Measure out 6″ loops and twist the ribbon to keep the pretty facing outward. Make 1 loop on each side.
  3. Scrunch the ribbon down into the pegs to hold your bow in place.
  4. Cut that first spool off, leaving a 16″ tail on the opposite side.
  5. Using the solid yellow 2.5″ ribbon, measure out about a 14″ tail.

  7. Using the bee patterned 2.5″ wired ribbon, measure out a 12″ tail, inserting your ribbon into the EZ Bow Maker pegs.
  8. Measure out 5.5″ loops and twist the ribbon to keep the pretty side facing outward. Make 1 loop on each side, following the same layer as step #1.
  9. Finally, use the 1.5″ black and white striped ribbon. Measure out a 10″ tail, creating (1) 5″ loop on each side.
  10. Zip tie it together with the 8″ cable tie, but do not tighten it all the way. Fluff out your bow before you tighten it all the way.

  • 1 – 1.5″ Black and white striped ribbon
  • 8″ cable tie
  • 11″ cable tie

Instructions:

  1. Start with the black and white striped 1.5″ wired ribbon, measure out a 16″ tail, inserting your ribbon into the EZ Bow Maker pegs.
  2. Measure out 6″ loops and twist the ribbon to keep the pretty facing outward. Make 3 loops on each side.
  3. Scrunch the ribbon down into the pegs to hold your bow in place.
  4. Cut that first spool off, leaving a 16″ tail on the opposite side.
  5. Using the 2.5″ bee ribbon, measure out about a 14″ tail.
  6. Measure out 6″ loops and twist the ribbon to keep the pretty side facing outward. Make 2 loops on each side, keeping those loops flared out so that they are situated in between the loops from step #1.

  • 1 – 2.5″ Daisy floral patterned ribbon
  • 1 – 1.5″ Solid yellow ribbon
  • 8″ cable tie
  • 11″ cable tie

Instructions:

  1. Start with the yellow polka dot and striped 2.5″ wired ribbon, measure out a 16″ tail, inserting your ribbon into the EZ Bow Maker pegs.
  2. Measure out 7″ loops and twist the ribbon to keep the pretty facing outward. Make one loop on each side.
  3. Scrunch the ribbon down into the pegs to hold your bow in place.
  4. Cut that first spool off, leaving a 16″ tail on the opposite side.
  5. Using the 2.5″ daisy floral ribbon, measure out about a 14″ tail.
  6. Measure out 7″ loops and twist the ribbon to keep the pretty side facing outward. Make 2 loops on each side, keeping those loops flared out so that they are situated in between the loops from step #1.
  7. Using the green bee patterned 2.5″ wired ribbon, measure out a 12″ tail, inserting your ribbon into the EZ Bow Maker pegs.
  8. Measure out 6″ loops and twist the ribbon to keep the pretty side facing outward. Make 1 loop on each side.
  9. Finally, use the 1.5″ solid yellow ribbon. Measure out a 10″ tail, creating (2) 5″ loops on each side.
  10. Zip tie it together with the 8″ cable tie, but do not tighten it all the way. Fluff out your bow before you tighten it all the way. 
  11. You do not want to forget to give the tails of your bow some attention. Roll the bottom of the ribbon tails toward the center of the bow.
